Therapy

Physical Therapy
Improves lower body strength and helps our patients with balance, weakness, ambulation difficulty and pain management. We offer ultrasound, moist heat and massage.

Occupational Therapy
Improves upper body strength and helps patients with bathing and dressing skills, using adaptive equipment (reachers, bath sponges, sock-aides, shoehorns and dressing sticks) if needed.

Speech Therapy
Helps patients with eating, swallowing and cognitive issues. Speech also finds the most appropriate diet consistency for each individual patient.

Out-Patient Therapy
Is offered for Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy to help the people in our community get well with the comfort of staying at home. We take workmen’s compensation cases as well as physician referrals.

Respiratory Therapy
NHC Sparta therapists ensure safe oxygen use and specialize in airway management, mechanical ventilation, blood acid/base balance, and critical care medicine.

Wound Care and Healing
Here at NHC Sparta a wide area of wound care is offered. All types of wounds recieve the most modern treatments available ( silver dressings, wound vac's and una boots, are a few examples). Our Certified Wound Nurse, Kate Cole and Dr. Loveland, Podiatrist, work closely with our residents offering, toe nail care and wound care. Dr Cunliffe and other physicians assist in wound treatments, new treatments and products put into place when coming out on the market.
